DCCC: MN-01 Race Jumps to the #1 Spot

The momentum for Tim Walz (MN-01), our DFA Link candidate with the most local endorsements is simply amazing. I will be visiting the 1st CD this weekend and will blog about my volunteer experience for Tim Walz.

DFA is watching this race but if you want DFA to take action (a national endorsement) they need to hear from DFA Link members. Show your support for Walz to DFA by adding your name to the Walz DFA Link candidate page
. Not yet a member of the DFA Link? Join over 530 MN DFA Link members at www.dfalink.com.

I can't keep up with all of the local and national news on the MN-01 race but bluestemprairie can. Thank you to all of the MN Bloggers who are part of the DFA Link for covering the DCCC story so well.

Below is an excerpt from a recent BSP post on the DCCC's support for Tim Walz for all of our DFM readers:

[WASHINGTON POST: GUTKNECHT HEADS NEW LIST OF DCCC TARGETS
An article in today's Washington Post suggests that the Fighting First has become number one on the Dee-Trip's new list:

Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chairman Rahm Emanuel (Ill.) has privately signed off on targeting a new group of GOP incumbents who were once considered safe for reelection, starting with Rep. Gil Gutknecht in rural Minnesota, officials said.

Fundraising is an issue, as the article's headline indicates: "Funding Constrains Democrats;Party Chiefs See Chance to Take 40-Plus Seats With TV Push."

We ordinarily urge readers to contribute to Tim Walz directly or via ActBlue, but this might be a time to throw some coin at the DCCC to help pay for those ads in MN-01. Contribute through October 20 (Friday) and your dollars will be matched 3-to-1 by Democratic leadership.

News of this race is busting out all over. Last night, we posted about the New York Times coverage of the Walz-Gutknecht race, with a strong dose of local coverage thrown in. ]
