Election Day is tomorrow, Tuesday. Find out where to vote below along with local endorsement info from Democracy for America.

Dear Minneapolis MoveOn member,

Tomorrow is Election Day: please make time to vote. In an off-year election, without presidential or congressional races at stake, voter turnout is expected to be low and a wave of progressive voters can make an unusually significant difference. That's what happened in Colorado last week where a measure to allow more funds for education and health care passed.

Our good friends at Democracy for America, which supports fiscally responsible, socially progressive candidates at all levels of government, have asked us to share with MoveOn members the progressive candidates they have identified as worthy of support in this election. It is an exciting opportunity when there are strong progressive champions you can back in your area, and this is a chance for progressives to work together to create change. Keep in mind that candidates in state and local races often become candidates later for federal office.

Democracy for America recommends (the descriptive text below comes from them):

Re-elect R.T. Rybak for Mayor of Minneapolis.
Despite being outspent 4 to 1, Mayor R.T. Rybak won his 2001 campaign for Mayor of Minneapolis with a progressive platform of reform. He has balanced 5 straight budgets, developed a 5 year financial plan that has already paid down $17 million in debt, and made room for priorities like thousands of new affordable housing units and 4000 jobs for hard to employ residents. Mayor Rybak has also received the endorsement of Democracy for Minnesota.

We encourage you to spread the word and forward your personal endorsements for tomorrow to your friends and family. Finally, you can find out where to vote here:

Note that depending on where you live, you may not be in a precinct that votes for the candidate(s) above. Thank you.
